3rd parties are great but they don't really work in the US political system for a variety of situational and structural reasons. Unsurprisingly really I always end up voting for a 3rd party, Greens in AU (they'd suck in power but make a good moderator in the Upper house), Liberal Democrats in the UK. The idea of libertarians verses greens I found funny, sorry but you couldn't find two groups who would be more ideologically opposed, commuists and fascists would have more in common. I can't think what kind of political middle ground they could find to argue over. I mean somehow 'the government should strengthen anti-pollution legislation verses 'the government should disband the EPA' just doesn't really work.
