Ya it figures.....
I tell ya the US system is the joke of the world because of the Corporate lobbying and all the $ in politics. Our “dumb as rock” capitalist friends and their "I don’t want the government in my business" ideology works against them when it comes to food, clean water and clean air... |

Personally, I am too wise to accept that. Dinesh D'Souza's works are a good source here, especially his What's So Great About Capitalism. In mere capitalism, clean water and air are excellent marketing- and selling-points, especially in North America and Western Europe -- the kind of cultures you have the most personal experience of. Have you diligently (like, reading up) studied on this?

It worked pretty well for the US until the pre-WW I depression, and worked again until the great depression. Then with restraints by the government it worked well again until globalization and Ronnie Rayguns taking off the restraints left it to it's own devices... which weren't in our best interest.
If you think Directors and CEOs are good guys who give a rat's ass about the best interests of you and the country, I've got a bridge I'd be willing to sell you.
