they get $100 and up for new/antique ones like that. Ours was inoperative and tarnished, but I took it apart, replaced a washer where someone had used a twist tie trying to fix it, re-seated a gear that was stripped, and lubricated it.
I used the same stuff I cleaned up the chrome on the harley with to polish that bell. Shiny! Then took the paint off the outside collar and knob with a wire brush attachment on the drill. No polish outside, I like it better looking a bit weathered.
