Karst?
General Custer, Sitting Bull and a Karst of thousands?  Slammed my finger in the Karst door?  Doctor put a Karst on the broken leg?   When you have Limestone, Dolomite, or Gypsum , or a combination of them as the primary rock, you’ll get Karst... eventually. Those three rocks plus a small number or rarer rocks, are water soluble. The slow but steady dissolution causes sharp peaks, narrow valleys, caves, sinkholes and underground water features. Not very hospitable to humans, but the animals who have adapted find much safety and solitude.

All we see in collapsed roads and mall parking lot entrances, Florida has fun though with now you see it, now you don't, houses.
