I don't know anything about most of those companies, but I know a fair bit about the financial comings and goings of Activision Blizzard--they paid negative federal tax this year because they also lost a shit ton of money on games that didn't pan out as expected. Compare it to their year-over-year tax rate, and the picture becomes a little more reasonable:

Can't say whether the same is true of the other companies. And I don't know that a 5-year average of 25.5% is necessarily high enough, or low enough, or anything. But I doubt anyone would say they got off easy in 2017.
