It does depend on why you're invisible.

Boffins are working on invisibility cloaks a bit like the effect in The Predator. They bend light around you.
If you were under one of these and took a dump, it would be invisible until you lifted the cloak. You'd be able to see the paper if you had it inside the cloak.

This reminds me of a much more real and serious question.

How do blind people know when they are done wiping?

I just realized the numbers on the snack vending machine has braille on the buttons. So if you're blind, you don't know what the numbers go to, but you know what number you're pushing? It's not like the same product is behind the same numbers every time. You think you're getting a poptart until you feel around in the 'snack landing receptacle' and realize you got a Mounds. With Almonds.
