Glad you found something you like. Yes even though your tv is HD, the signal is what matters in actually seeing HD content. If the signal is not HD, nothing on the tv's end will make it HD. Not familiar with uverse service, but if it is anything like Time Warner's cable, there are both standard and HD channels available. Just have to find them.

None of this makes any sense to me at all, being a furriner.
All I can say is make sure you have Starz, as they are filming a joint project with the BBC starting January. Yes, Torchwood will be back on all of our screens at some point in 2011.
