I don't remember the first thing I googled, but I remember the first time I was introduced to it. It was the winter of 1996. I had been using Prodigy for who knows how long, and a local dial-up BBS for maybe a year. I worked at a Domino's Pizza, and some coworkers-turned-friends there were trying to start up a web design business (called WWWebservers, which we thought was hysterical and pronounced "wuh-wuh-wuh-webservers" behind their backs.) They were showing us their newly rented offices, and the work they were doing for their first client. The graphic artist of the group, Daniel, was raving about how amazing this Google search function was--like, you could type in "shit," and a thousand sites about shit would come up! That was also the first time I ever saw Photoshop. He was raving about that too.
