The Mormon Church has joined the fray in the abuse of innocent children. This time it is Boy Scouts. A Scout Master confessed that he had abused at least 17 scouts. Mormon officialdom allowed this man to continue to lead scout troops even after his wrong-doing came to light.

PORTLAND, Ore. (CN) - A jury is deliberating whether the Boy Scouts of America and a local council were negligent in allowing a man to remain active in Scouting after he confessed to the Mormon bishop who supervised his troop that he had sexually abused at least 17 boys. The case has drawn national attention because the jury will be allowed to review some 2,900 "Ineligible Volunteer" files, in which the Scouts recorded suspected abuse by scoutmasters and scouts from 1964 to 1984.
