The Republic of Felix Monachus is a tiny, socially progressive nation, renowned for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5 million enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.
The medium-sized government concentrates mainly on Social Welfare, although Healthcare and Education are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 14%. A healthy private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Trout Farming and Book Publishing.
Crime is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Felix Monachus's national animal is the marmoset and its currency is the monach.

The Kingdom of Spexxvetia is a tiny, socially progressive nation, notable for its absence of drug laws. Its compassionate population of 5 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The enormous government is mainly concerned with Social Welfare, although Healthcare and Education are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 35%, but much higher for the wealthy. A substantial private sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, followed by Information Technology and Retail.

Crime is well under control. Spexxvetia's national animal is the capybara, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the bauble.

TOO TRUE!

Why do I do these things? I am NOT a leader, I just like communities.

Okay. Deep breath. We have a password. It is cellarians.

Do we know: The Disputed Territories of Pain and Woe and The Holy Empire of SOUPFI?

If they are not us I will ban them. Oh, woe is me.

Can I abdicate now???

BTW, THANK YOU LOOKOUT FOR LOOKING OUT!!!!!!

i admit openly that i am both "pipedreams2" and "Pain and Woe" i am running them in very similar fashion, but i want to see what effect it has when one has entered the UN and the other hasn't. if that isn't cool with cellarites, i'll remove one from the region. i already checked with the game FAQs and it is ok so long as only one joins the UN.

The Disputed Territories of Pain and Woe is a tiny, socially progressive nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5 million are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The minute, pro-business government, or what there is of one, juggles the competing demands of Religion & Spirituality, Law & Order, and Commerce. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Soda Sales, and Furniture Restoration industries.

Voting is voluntary. Crime is a major problem. Pain and Woe's national animal is the whalepenis, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Tear.

(I will never get him in the Cellar, ahem, at least not THIS one. He's not the type.)
