What in the name of Bob is a "Yabbie"?

I think it is some kind of amphibian but require a more concrete definition so as to better understand an Australian anecdote.

It appears to be either a small freshwater lobster or large crawfish.

Basically a little lobster. We used to catch them as kids. Range in size from less than an inch up to about 6 inches. Lethal nippers - they seem to have a knack for getting you on the little web of skin between your fingers...

Supposedly good eating, but I've never been particulartly impressed with them.

Yabbie's are nasty lil critters!! but they can make great pets.

They are tasty if they arent from a really muddy dam.

Moreton bay bug (slipper lobster)

Mmmmm...Moreton bay bug, sweeetest of the sweet crustaceionies... cooked properly, the flesh just peels gently away from the shell, with the slightest squeeze of lemon and some seafoof sauce on the side...mmmmmm

'scuse me, I'd like to be alone with the seafood now.

Hmmm, I'm gonna assume you dont mean why would I wanna kiss it better and answer why I am going shopping on Toorak Rd. :p

There's 2 shops I love there, a jewellery shop and a shoe shop...other than that I prefer the 2 DFO's
