Tucson, AZ
I'm going to be there the 8th through the 13th, training for my new job & staying at a Marriott down by the airport (as opposed to a van down by the river).
Anybody from near there? Oh, and btw, hi, I'm from the Cellar like before whoever is on here now were born, probably.

I lived there for a year as a lad. If you have time to sight see, I would recommend Sabino Canyon, the Desert Museum zoo, and Old Tucson movie studios, in that order. You need a car for all three. If you have a lot of time, Kitt Peak observatory is really cool to tour. And I've never been there but I think there is an airplane museum now in Tucson.

I wouldn't think just any ol' civilian can go in there, though. ETA: Wiki quote: Quote:

80 miles is only about an hour away.
30 minutes in a rental car.

Pima Air and Space Museum is in Tuscon, right next to the Air Force base. I don't know what they are talking about being 80miles away. (Actually, I think there might be a missle silo you can tour that is 80 miles away.)

I assumed 'Pima' referred to Pima, AZ.
Sorry for any confusion, that was me that came up with the 80 miles, the rough distance from Pima to Tucson.

This has all been fun, but I bet Flint doesn't even have any free time. He's looking to hang out with a Dwellar in the airport hotel bar or something.

But, Pima, AZ isn't. It's in Graham County.

The Titan Missle Museum is like half an hour south of the airport.
Oh, and I completely forgot about San Xavier Del Bac, the old Spanish mission outside of Tucson to the south. That place is very cool. And they have delicious honey covered fry bread sold by the Indians in the parking lot. You should check that out if you have time. |

Museum, boneyard, and the planes are close together.
