Until Comcast switched to cable boxes, their HD signals were lower resolution. I built antennas for a few. They would get the same station over the air (OTA) to have superior pictures.
Now that Comcast has provided a cable box, the proper HD signal is being received.
View your screen. When a circle appears, is the circle perfectly round? If not, you signal is being perfected by the cable company for their benefit. As a data transporter, their obligation is to provide these better services without price increases. Comcast is so avidly attacking net neutrality while putting most money into buying NBC and building skyscrapers.
