You don't think the lack of goatse and tubgirl on the site that has every internet meme going done to death is a hint that we don't go there anymore? I know, it's harder to spot unwritten rules -especially when you're a little light on the life experience- but that's one of them.

Cloud, turn it into a May Pole.

It wasn't Goatse... it was a picture that has already, on several occasions, been posted on this website.
Now, being so much older than I, shouldn't you see that it's wrong to hijack somebody's thread, when that somebody has already discussed things, with me, via private message, and come to a fair, happy conclusion, without the need for such an assaultive post, as yours?
Since when did age have anything to do with maturity, or, indeed, the phrase "grow up?"

Your post, as rude, and offensive as it is, is most certainly proof that age is NOT a factor, when it comes to the utterance of the phrase "grow up."
(Sorry, Cloud, for the public flogging. This is your thread, and does not deserve to be derailed by such a post... However, I felt that, seeing as monster decided to publicly post against something I had said, that, in turn, I had the same right to respond. If you so desire, I'll gladly edit/remove this post, as I did the picture, as I most certainly don't wish to cause you any offence.

As for the original topic... I actually did a little research into the origins of the word. It's quite interesting. The Wiki article that "gvidas" posted, has some of the interesting factoids about it, so, if you've not already, go check it out.
(I love how every word has a history, a second meaning. It makes language so... fun!)
