E-reader

Anyone uses an e-reader? If you do or know anything about it, what would you prefer or recommend? The Kindle or the Sony? I've read up on them and still not sure.

Thanks for your inputs!

I am awaiting delivery of my K3Graphitewifi.

Should be here today or tomorrow.

Thanks, Wolf. Just finished reading the thread Bruce linked for me. By the way, what's the difference between the wifi and 3G option? Never understood its purpose or advantage one over the other to make an informed decision.

Same here actually Wolf, post any cool free stuff you happen to find in the marketplace. I'll do the same once mine gets here next Monday.

3g can be used to download books from anywhere you get a cell signal. Wifi only model has to be used on a wifi network since it does not have the 3g card in it. The 3g usage is free, but there's an upfront premium to pay for the card itself, hence the higher price.

3G is better because you can dowload all over the place. But it costs more.

If you already have a wifi signal at home (do you have a laptop?) and you'll do all your downloading at home, then get the wifi and save a few bucks.

I prefer the 3G, bought the wifi only because I have wifi at work, wifi at home, and wifi at pretty much every fast food and coffee shop in the area.

I tend to load my Kindles to the gills with content, and didn't think that for the 3rd one I need the immediate everywhere access. And it was $50 cheaper.

I don't use the internet connectivity option all that much, maybe once or twice to play with it to see what it's like.

I read books.

A lot of books. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I've already read over 100 this year (I think around 120 at this point). I use ereaders for READING, not as all-in-one devices. Having said that, I have to get back to reading. I hardly read at all on vacation and I need to catch up!

You probably pay more attention to things like vacuuming and dusting than I do.
