Thanks everyone. It was all pretty straight forward really. My water broke a bit after 2.30am and I started labouring properly at around 6am. He was born an hour and a half later at 7.30am and weighed in at 7lb3oz or 3.2kg.

We're home now. Everything went so swimmingly that they had no objections to my coming home instead of spending the night, so I guess it's game on now.

We have pics which I'll sort out tomorrow. We even have pics of the placenta for those who might need inspiration for their recipes.

Once again, thanks for all your kind wishes. They are very much appreciated.

Oh yeah, looks like I might have more luck breast feeding this time round. He's had three feeds now and seems to be very contented. Here's hoping my milk comes in properly in a few days time.
