rhetoricals

When did 'cooperation' become synonymous with 'compliance' and 'submission'?

When did 'freedom' become preferable to 'self-possession'?

When did 'proxy' give way to 'governor'?

When did 'one' get re-defined to mean 'part of many'?

When did 'meaningless' difference become elevated and 'meaningful' difference become forbidden?

When did apprehending the world become translated into apprehension about the world?

Ok, after thirty seconds on the Google, I've discovered I'm especially lazy today...

...so, what happened on August 12, 1978?

BTW, I was only ten, so there.

I'd go with September 17, 1787.

Coperate
VERB

1.Work jointly towards the same end:

the leaders promised to cooperate in ending the civil war
staff need to cooperate with each other

1.1Assist someone or comply with their requests:
his captor threatened to kill him if he didn’t cooperate

No, it's the reproductive act as practised in China.

It always was. It's built right into our genes. Man is a gregarious animal, built for the tribe, cannot survive and/or thrive alone. Children raised without language from infancy can never speak. Children raised without culture from infancy can never be civilized. True hermits are extremely rare and come from abnormal psychology.

First day back after a long hiatus, I can see that nothing much has changed. I suppose that's a good thing. Consistency is key. I think I'll just fade back into the wood work again.
