Did you ever get arrested?

I was underage at 17 at a club and I was there the night the place got busted. (Harlow's on Banke Street) We were all driven to precinct 8 in Philadelphia and praise be, I was released since I was at least over 16, and I'm not sure if I ever even told Mom.......deathbed confession?

Misdemeanor possession of marijuana in 1974. $100.00 bail, no-plea process offered by court (don't get busted for a year, we'll expunge your record), I took it, never been busted since.

It was really crappy pot, too.

When I was 15 I was arrested for shoplifting cassette tapes from a local music store. I was drunk and high and thought I could get away with cracking off the big plastic things they attach to the tapes.
They made me sit in the cell for 2 1/2 hours before they called my mom.
I was a big fan of NWA at the time, and spent the majority of my cell time singing all the lyrics to "Fuck the police".
I'm really embarrased now. I bet those cops had a great laugh watching me on camera.

No.

I dread the thought. I am a rule follower, order appeals to me. Peacemaker, not rebel.

I, another guy from IBM and a friend of his from Denver were arrested at a Linda Ronstadt concert in Albuquerque back in 1970. They searched my purse at the door and found all the recreational goodies we had piled in there I had to cry for 15 minutes to persuade them to just take the grass and let me have my stash bag back along with the roach holder which were gifts I really treasured. Finally they decided not to charge us (they had taken down all our data but we were never "booked" so no record exists) and let us go into the concert, after the strip search (non-invasive) failed to turn up anything more sinister. So we sat on the floor and moped about losing the grass and half the concert when suddenly Cliff's friend remembered that when we were getting in the car he had stuck one of our joints in his hair and it was still there (lotsa hair on all of us in those days ). So at least there was enough left to share, and the concert was really good too. When I got home later that night (ok, it was early morning) I found out that my boyfriend had to go down to the Albuquerque Police Station to bail out one of his roommates. The idiot had tried to take cocaine into the same concert, in his shoe heel.

I have never been arrested - as my Mum works for the police (as a civilian employee) the idea terrified me all through my teenage years. I think the only laws I have broken rather than bent have involved narcotics, and I made sure any activity of that kind was incredibly well shielded from view.

I was given a verbal warning (caution? talking to?) by a policeman after being caught giving oral to my boyfriend in his car. I was 17 and so terrified that I was sick in the bushes after he left. In hindsight he only took our names & addresses to scare us, after all he didn't ask for ID & we could have given false names, but for months I dreaded getting a summons to court or something!

I play by the rules, but I know how to break the rules and get away with it. Still waiting for the opportunity to do the later.

I wish I had broken a few more rules when I had the chance. Nope, I've only broken a few small rules, and I've never been caught. Not even a speeding ticket.
