installing software

I have to install CorelDraw into my laptop for work. Not sure if it matters or not but it's an old version. Anyways, I was wondering if something goes wrong, could it delete my files? I'm pressed for time and feeling very tired so I'm a bit lazy to back up my files. If unsuccessful installation won't delete my files, I'm gonna go ahead and install it w/out backing up my files.

Anyone know?

Geez, thanks, Lamp. I thought it was a link to an answer. Well, it is sort of an answer, just not exactly what I am looking for.

disc is blank.

you do NOT have corel draw, therefore, you will not harm your files by installing nothing.

problem solved.

The person who made the Corel Draw file converted it into a PDF file. Okay, problem solved, right? Wrong, didn't print out right. The person who gave me the CorelDraw cd wondered why I don't just install Corel? DVD rom broken. He lent me his DVD rom extenstion. CorelDraw was installed fast and painless. I am now sitting here printing and while the printer runs, I browse the Cellar.

By the way, I like remote access now. Installed Team Viewer and the other guy was able to get into my computer and install and fix whatever needed to get the file perfect for printing. So much less headache than last year. And he got a sim card or whatever it is from here so I was able to call all the way to France easily and at no cost for me.
