I was born on the same date it says on his birth certificate, which his father managed to register incorrectly to get an extra years tax allowance

Hector was due to be born a week before my birthday and was late, but so late he missed the traditional date by another week. I don't think it's as easy to falsify birth records for a tax dodge as back in 1929.

Quite. My sister is sooo pissed because she wanted to use Florence May for one of her girls -after our paternal grandmother. For some bizarre reason, she asked our paternal Aunt if it would be ok -and she said No! But recently one of her grandchildren was named Florence May.
