I remember seeing it when I was very young, and being bored and tired. I didn't get it.

Then years later, I saw the Woodstock footage of Joe Cocker, and it seemed vaguely familiar. And THEN years after that, I saw a rebroadcast of Belushi, and I finally got the joke and appreciated it.
