mmm... all the leads pushed in properly? yep.

power on? any lights lit on the monitor?

yep.... and I can see a 'glow' inside the monitor.... just nowt on the screen, not even a cursor...

mmm.... checks sys-stats.... terminal is shown as logged in.

Drives down the 20 miles to user-site.

Hehe oh my!!

Tech Support: "What version of Windows are you running?"
Customer: "I got the computer in 2003, so I think it's a Windows 2003. Or maybe it's a Windows 2004? I got it late in the year."
Tech Support: "Um, ok."
Customer: "Is that wrong?"
Tech Support: "No, no, that sounds about right. Tell me, would you know what service pack you have for that?"
Customer: "Well, when I got to the register, the young man who rang me up said was about the 5th person to buy it. So it might be service pack 5."

Ah man!!

Alot of goodies on that page,I hadnt been to it in years.......

I still think about John (JayMcGee) from time to time. We were always supposed to meet up but somehow never got around to it. He may well have been the funniest man I ever encountered on the internet.

Once upon a time I remembered something that had happened a long time ago. We laughed! Ahhh. Good times, good times.

Yeah... But.

One of us was laughing *with* and the other was laughing *at*.
