There's a seldom used feature of the Cellar that may help you until you can get your post preview fully working again. I have a Social Group under my sockpuppet name UCB4U. As UCB4U, I'm sending you an invitation to join the Group. When you accept the invitation I'll activate it and you'll be able to post there. I've already created a thread for you: https://cellar.org/group.php?do=disc...iscussionid=14

You can copy what you have in your preview box and post it in that thread to see it without littering the forums. When you're done editing, you can copy it and post it in the forums and then delete it in the Social Group thread as you wish.

Try it. If it works for you, you're welcome to use it indefinitely. If you prefer, you can also create your own Social Group for that purpose.

If you're not happy with how a post came out you can always delete it.

Everyone who's logged-in will see the deletions. That's distracting if done on a regular basis which is why I suggested the Social Groups route.

It's hard to find anything that shows up well at that size. After several flops with other nice looking (regularly sized) animated GIFs, I cropped and reduced this one. It isn't half bad. I left it at the original speed; but, I can change the speed if desired. Red, green and blue happen to be my faves in light strings.

It is nice. Shall we put it to a vote or just get a few general yay-or-nay posts?

I should add, I don't know if I can change the icon out in JUST the tagline... will have to check on that....

Slim pickin's for a New Year's Cellar tag line gif. Even "2020" becomes too small to be readily legible, let alone "Happy New Year." So, I looked for a flashing "20" gif that worked well; but, nowhere to be found. I ended up cropping a flashing "2020" down to 2 digits and resizing. It gets the message across: Attachment 69434; but, we can always stay with the holiday lights thru New Year's Day.

It looks a bit confusing in place, but maybe that's a plus for us

I just found a B&W "2020" gif that was uploaded only 3 days ago. I cropped and reduced it to 15 pixels square. It's not quite as legible; but, might be less confusing. FWIW: Attachment 69445 Up to you.

Not right off hand. We'll have to go back to the folder for now. I'll keep an eye out for something relevant, like The Cellar's 30th. Maybe I'll come across an extraordinary animation. B&W appears to suit the tag line best. We'll see what's out there.

Something understated that plays off the highlighted "established 1990" in the banner and gives everyone a glimpse of the year they joined. The folder icon is 15x15. This is necessarily wider. One is 15px in height, the other 18px which I find easier on the eyes (it keeps the numbers about the same size, despite the yellow border, as the text in the tag line box). Maybe save it for a rainy day:
