do ya think we should have a casual end of month day eomd it would be like casual Friday only occurring on the last day of each month we could type in all lower case except when autocorrect is on type without punctuation use run on sentences and paragraphs misspell words except when spellcheck is on use homonyms make up acronyms and contractions and forget about special characters post images upside down or on their sides and all that jazz without having to be uncouth by resorting to texting shorthand waddayathink

Can't See YouTube Videos On The Cellar
 

Anyone have any idea why I can't see embedded YouTube videos on the Cellar? All I get is a black stripe, or in some cases, a black box where the player should be.

Recently Big Sarge and John Sellers posted vids that appear like this on my screen:

This affects older YouTube vids embedded on the Cellar, too.

I can see videos fine at the YouTube page. Also, I couldn't readily find a LiveLeak video (on the Cellar) to see if it shows up, but Vimeo vids (on the Cellar) are working ok.

I'm confused.

I'm getting the same result and I think it is because our browsers have collectively agreed not to give a crap about flash.

I'm running Firefox 34.0.5 and haven't updated in forever, can my browser really just decide to not speak Flash anymore?

You have updated, your browser just didn't say anything!

34.0.5 was released on December 1, 2014.

If it had updated, wouldn't my version number change? Current version is 48.0, released on August 2, 2016.

Uh well then Youtube has stopped supporting Flash and either way it won't work again until I fix the bbcode

What was the deal (if it can be explained simply)? Hope it wasn't too big a PITA.

I think YouTube must have ended support of their flash platform... I changed the code to how they embed now and it looks like an improvement. Long overdue because all the browsers support video on their own and don't need some dumb helper application to get in the way.
