Be the last person to kill this thread

Be the last person to kill this thread. The person who posts something that dooms this thread to perpetual dormancy is the winner.

I'll do it. I always do everything.

Crimson Ghost 12-13-2009 05:15 PM

Anyone who posts after me is doomed to die a slow, painful, lingering death.

Enjoy.

Pie 12-13-2009 05:38 PM

Ya, I'm good for it.

lumberjim 12-13-2009 05:43 PM

Iowa.

monster 12-13-2009 06:25 PM

the last person to kill.....?

monster 12-13-2009 06:26 PM

is it possible to kill it more than once?

And if so, is it possible to determine that it cannot be killed again?

gvidas 12-13-2009 06:42 PM

I'm reminded of "the inheritance riddle."

Quote:

There is this really rich man and he has two sons. One day he dies and in his will it says

"My dear sons, I am only going to give one of you my entire fortune, and you will have to race for it. Whose ever horse finishes last, wins."

The next day the two brothers set off as slow as they possibly can. In the first day they don't even make a mile, and at the end of the day they decided to stop at an inn to rest. The two brothers told the inn keeper about their race. The inn keeper told them only two words. The next day the two brothers set off as fast as they could go. What were the two words that the inn keeper told them to make them race so fast?

fargon 12-13-2009 07:08 PM

Meep.

toranokaze 12-13-2009 08:01 PM

So we should try and be the first?

Yznhymr 12-13-2009 09:03 PM

Back in early 80s, I went to a Conway Twitty concert. I lived at a state institution because my parents got rid of me when I was 9. The tickets were free for all of us older kids. I was there with my girlfriend and it was our first date. After the concert we went backstage to meet Conway. He walks in bigger than life, walks straight to me and says it must be tough for me, but he was glad that he finally found someone uglier than him. I never saw that girl, again.

I was channelling Marge there. She goes to a show where a magician/hypnotist asks for a volunteer and, because she's a bit tipsy, goes up onstage saying, "I'll do it. I always end up doing it," - so, yes. MOM.

now imagine this smiley with a big pile of blue hair on its head: :)

... and that's why everyone who believes in ghosts is a Nazi.

Sundae 12-14-2009 12:53 PM

I hope you plan to kill this thread humanely.
Or I'm calling PETA.

Flint 12-14-2009 02:14 PM

So the guy walks right up to me and says--get this--he says "Hey, buddy..." and nobody, by the way, calls me buddy and gets away with it if I have anything to say on the subject, and believe you me, I do, and I will, and it's called a knuckle sandwich if you have to know, but that's neither here nor there, so the guy says "Hey, buddy..." and first of all, can you believe the nerve of this clown, speaking to me like that in such a manner?

Spexxvet 12-14-2009 02:17 PM

Yes, I have read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

So, an infrared photon walks into a bar and says, "Is it hot in here, or is it just me?"

capnhowdy 12-14-2009 03:20 PM

:rattat:

Spexxvet 12-14-2009 03:24 PM

Hey, watch it now.

smoothmoniker 12-15-2009 01:16 AM

I stand by it.

limey 12-15-2009 03:28 AM

That just about wraps it up, though.

Crimson Ghost 12-15-2009 07:19 AM

Pretty much.

Spexxvet 12-15-2009 07:50 AM

just about

smoothmoniker 12-15-2009 11:43 AM

I'd appreciate it if everyone could just hang around for a few minutes whilst I explain the grammatical differences between "who" and "whom". Let me just hit the lights and fire up the ole' powerpoint ...

... And, there we go. Slide one:

The Linguistic History of Objective Cases, part 1: Sumaria

I think I might have just killed the "fucking depressing" thread. Just a hunch.

Watch me kill this one now too.

Pie 12-15-2009 02:23 PM

limey 12-15-2009 05:17 PM

With all the self proclaimed hobo killers in this place, you'd think someone would have killed off this thread by now. I'm beginning to doubt the veracity of all those hobo killin' claims. :eyebrow:

sexobon 12-23-2009 02:00 AM

Yznhymr 12-24-2009 02:28 AM

This is third time I've tried writing this...finally...I am ready to die. Now. There are no words I can use to describe the horrors of my youth, the baggage that I carry, nor the pain that destroys all that is around me every momoment I exist.

There is more...there is more...but not here. I take it with me.

Else fate will bring me back another day. We will see. How will this cliff hanger end......return and find out. I think I know.

A poem I wrote when I was 10, abandoned by my family the year before...the pain starting to become familiar...

Who even knows,
who even cares?
I think I know,
it is known in your nightmares...

If you will try and think
of someone that you love,
then you'll know and cry,
because that person loves you

The third stanza is lost to my foggy memory. It doesn't matter. Fare-thee-well, may tomorrow's mystery be brighter and pain free...

DanaC 12-24-2009 04:10 AM

Hey Yzn....pull my finger.

capnhowdy 12-24-2009 06:21 AM

I'm not sorry about him pulling yur finger.

toranokaze 12-24-2009 09:05 AM

Pie 12-24-2009 10:08 AM

Yznhymr -- :grouphug:

It'll be okay. Really.
Or not.
