What? No whale up the Thames thread?

Well not that I've seen, anyway, but have been absent a few days (sorry, wifely pressures to attend to at least some of the things on her infinitely expanding list of 'jobs to do').

So, hope you know about the way London came to a halt over the weekend with a bottle-nosed whale swimming mistakenly up the Thames some remarkable distance and then sadly the recue attempt that failed (but gave London parking attendants the chance to book all the cars of those that were trying to do the rescuing - have to get our priorities right over here)

Sad though it was, it did hog the headlines disproportionately, and as might have been expected finally spawned this circular via email...

Is it true that some think this was a SpyWhale from Russia, tit for tat, so to speak, for the SpyRock Incident?

It was covered in the New Zealand whale thread in IOTD.

Greenpeace chopper spotted in vicinity. Sushi chefs across Europe converge on Japanese Embassy in London in anticipation. Sake futures triple overnight.

There simply wasn't enough coverage of the whale's penis for it to rate its own thread here, CF. Besides, I'm pretty sure that most of us thought that the phrase "Whale up the Thames" was a euphemism for buggery, anyway.

Talk about skimming the Cellar, I didn't realize CF's capture was a parody page until the third time I saw it!

With just a touch of mental gymnastics several images may be produced: perhpas a perfect description of Niagara-sized watersports, or then again it could be describing a Sydney-harbour sized technicolor yawn, or maybe it's just one helluva blow job!
