Am I weird or what??

Whilst doing some almost-last-minute Christmas shopping last night, I picked up a couple CDs from the bargain holiday music display. As I ripped them for placement on my ipod, I started wondering about my sanity. I mean, how many people would purchase and listen to, in the same sitting, "Carols of the Bells," sacred Christmas music performed by the handbell choir of First Baptist Church in LaGrange, GA, and "Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics" by the South Park crew, and really like both of them?

You mean there's something odd about that?

Am I weird or what??
Yes. And the problem is?

 Even if you are weird, at least I feel less weird now.

I can't thank you enough for the gift of feeling normal.

I will be sure to get you something next year.

Nah, you're not weird.
The only Christmas song I want to hear is Porky Pig's Blue Christmas.
I love that song and like to sing along. I don't do a very good job of it but I do have fun!

Jeez Lucy, I just listened to that here. That's great. :D

Hey! My favorite Christmas tunes are "Carol of the Bells" from George Winston's "December" CD, "Santa, my Dark Overlord" by Kubelwagen and "Hard Candy Christmas" by Dolly Parton.

Welcome to the Christmas music wierdo club! :D

It is not really Christmas unless I listen to Snoopy vs. the Red Baron. I typically follow this up with On Yoolis Night by the Anonymous 4, and a couple of Bob Rivers' Twisted Christmas selections.

"The Restroom Door Said Gentlemen" brings a tear to my eye, it does.

If you're not weird you're not worth knowing.

Nice to know I'm not the only one with strange conglomerations of taste. (Either that or the rest of you are freaky too. Naaaahhh...)
Tonchi • Dec 24, 2005 8:18 pm
Nah, you are perfectly normal, and not just for The Cellar! Now, I WOULD worry about you if you bought Lawrence Welk's Christmas Carols or the Mormon Tabernacle Choir instead. As a fellow North Carolinian, you must remember that Christmas was not complete until we heard The New Christy Minstral's Twelve Days of Christmas song on the radio :D

When Zippyt mentioned a "WAY messed up Xmas song", it got me to thinking. What is the most outrageous Christmas song you have ever heard? When I was a kid it was the Chad Mitchell Trio one I mentioned, but nowdays people's imagination has gone far beyond that.

There is always "Granma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" and the "Cheech and Chong Santa Story", but this year I actually heard a "Redneck Twelve Days of Christmas" and "Leroy the Redneck Reindeer" :mg: for the first time. Does anybody know of any other WAY messed up Xmas songs? Post some of the lyrics if you can remember them!
