A fellow Cellarite sent me this a couple of days ago. I think it is brilliant, no pun intended.
Probably a relatively simple midi-triggered setup...just sync the cues to the song, and run the strings through a breakout box of some sort.

My electricity bill is to damn high already though, so I will just have to admire and not emulate.
