toddler fleece is cute, but too small for rugrat.
Elspode • Nov 9, 2005 4:58 pm
1 US$ = 0.851353652 Euro
1 US$ = 0.575241601 British pounds

The cowhorn 'cruet' set: is that what we Yanks call salt and pepper shakers? That would be a great gift for my brother.
xoxoxoBruce • Nov 9, 2005 9:20 pm
I thought "cruets" were for oil and vinegar.

Me too, but these are only 11 cm tall. How about it, limey?

They must be for very small salads.

Or malt vinegar. A little goes a long way on fish and chips.

Cruet sets contain salt & pepper over here. At least that's the way I've always understood it, and it makes sense in this case.

... and sometimes a mustard pot - we had one when I was a boy in chrome resembling an ocean liner - salt and pepper were funnels with mustard sort of being a centre deck...remember it well. always chug-chugging it around the tablecloth calling at exotic plates (places) - just like the ones below (found them up for sale on ebay - might have a go...)
Sundae • Nov 11, 2005 10:41 am
Oh dear.

You have lit a fire within me entitled "cruet sets I can buy from eBay."

Am trying to convince myself I do NOT need a Carlton Ware fruit cruet set.....
wolf • Nov 11, 2005 10:56 am
ebay has helped me reclaim lost treasures from my childhood too.

Thanks for the comments folks. I've been away and only just got back into the cellar. Can't offer the discount/free shipping as it's not my shop, but you'll get a personal message from limey if you order and identify yourself as a dwellar!

Oh nooo....... I have got to get one of those boats!!!

Multi-generation maritime family member here. If I could find one that was a tugboat, it would be even better.
