New Years Eve

Anyone have plans yet?

My sister is having a house party where everyone is just going to sleep there so we don't have to worry about driving home. She is talking about getting a DJ and making it a masquerade (sp) party...

I know you wear those masks to the party - but what else? Gowns? Nothing :D ?

Have everybody bring costumes but in a brown paper bag. Toss 'em together into the middle of the room, turn off the lights, everybody grabs a bag and has to put on whatever it is. Or you can leave the lights on and use blindfolds... or...

Toga, toga, toga.....

hmm... I think I like barefoot serpants idea. It would be lots of fun, especially if everyone was very drunk. I was just planning on hanging out with friends and drinking. :yum:

Yo! bs! :snicker: What's the point of costumes, regardless if it's mine or someone else's if the lights are off? Booooring.
Iggy • Oct 25, 2005 12:00 pm
Well, you turn the lights on when you have your respective costumes. Right Barefoot?
BigV • Oct 25, 2005 12:06 pm
In my (limited) experience, the quality of the party is inversely proportional to the intensity of ambient light.

Of course, if you didn't understand what I said, you probably enjoy all the parties anyway, so I'll just shut up.

When the lights are off, there can be some deals struck in case *your* costume is missing bits that that you prefer not to be missing when the lights come back on.

I will probably be working. Well, maybe not. What night of the week will that be?

Whoo hoo!! not my regularly scheduled nights ... so no worky. Somebody better have a damn party ...
Elspode • Oct 25, 2005 4:45 pm
Weren't you paying attention, Wolf? Itsjulie's sister is having one. Get yourself over there!

Hey, IJ! It was your sister who invited the bumbling stud muffin along on the birthday outing, right? Have her ask him to the party, and then see if he'll help you with your costume.

Always thinking Els!!!!!!!!! WHOO HOOO!

Great ideas - but i have a feeling all the guys would be bringing costumes without tops! It will be a great night - since I am not drinking until then. Thats another story.

Does your probation max out on 12/31/05 or something?
itsjulie • Oct 26, 2005 7:05 am
Yes, I put myself on probation until then.
mrnoodle • Oct 26, 2005 11:09 am
You too? I'm a shitty probation officer, though, so I've been able to sneak some stuff past me. Still, I'm kinda digging the sobriety, you?

I'll lift one in your honor on NYE, though.
itsjulie • Oct 26, 2005 10:21 pm
I'll be lifting one in your honor in about 5 minutes. I edited my probation. A glass of wine after a statistics class is acceptable.

My experience was always that a glass of wine before statistics class made it more acceptable.
bluecuracao • Oct 27, 2005 4:29 pm
I discovered that when I drank two beers before cramming for a statistics exam, that I would get an "A".
Elspode • Oct 27, 2005 5:17 pm
I came in to my first hour Spanish class in high school stoned out of my gourd almost every day. I got A's, but now, 30 years later, I can't remember a damn thing I learned there.
