Was Anyone Else a Vaughn Bode Fan?

If so, you must see this 3D animation.

You might also want to check out the pages of his son Mark Bode, who is doing a darn fine job of carrying on his father's wacky legacy.

O man!
Cheech wizard!

One of my only regrets in life is that I was once visiting my sister in VA, and we went to a Borders book store and they had an anthology of Cheech wizard on the shelves and I didn't buy it figuring I'd pick it up when I got back home. (you know save the vaca cash)

Man someone must have tipped off Borders morality police cause I never saw it again at any book store.

maybe I'll check powells or alibris or what's that one with a river in the name?

If this thread had been an Amtrack train, it would now be *so* derailed.

She is a scorching hottie! Thus, I quoth:

...Her great ambition is simply to continue to research and write, whatever the genre and whatever the odds...

Tell me she is not your kind of gal. LIAR! LIAR! Pants aflame!

But alas, no 'twas not the river of which I thought.

Yes, but wouldn't cheech have wanted it that way?

By the way, it seems that just the four of us were Bode fans. If I was more motivated I'd create another cellar id called something like cheech_4_life. On second thought, maybe I mean less motivated.

Cheech may well have wanted it this way, but he damn sure would have kicked someone in the 'nads for such a vicious flouting of thread etiquette.

Nope, I was a huge Vaughn Bode fan too.

I say WAS, because after coming upon his son's website a few years ago I concluded there was nothing left of his legacy except pornography. Seems that being drugged out of your mind on the hard stuff was driving most of the creativity in that family. Oh well, we were all somewhat altered in those days. Mainly I miss the Bode stuff that Lampoon used to print.

Well, Bode was pretty pornographic himself, ya' know? After looking over his son's work, I was pretty darn impressed with what he's carried forward with.

I hadn't previously been aware that Vaughn Bode died from accidental strangulation during sexual asphyxia.

Yes, I am a fan. Sorry for the derailment.

I only know of his work in the great film Wizards. I wanted to *be* Avatar when I grew up. I named one of my favoritest D&D Characters Avatar in his honor. What an awesome film, and largely due to the brilliant animation.

edit: note to self, must cut back on crack habit at work...

anywho... I misrememberated Bakshi and Bode. An honest mistake. I return to my hole.

I remembered it! Right in my own backyard too:
