Ohio Governor First of his Kind!!!!

I understand that we in Ohio now have the very first convicted criminal governor!!!!!

I know that Orville and Wilbur are ohioans... I'm wondering how "First Convicted Criminal Governor" will look on a license plate. The newspaper today reported that Taft's approval rating was 15% -- the lowest ever. Lower than W, who hasn't dropped below 39. Lower than Carter. Lower than Nixon.

GROVE CITY, Ohio (AP)--Ohio Gov. Bob Taft, convicted Thursday for not reporting that he was treated to dozens of golf outings, Friday fulfilled part of his court-ordered sentence by apologizing via e-mail to all state employees.

Taft, the grandson of President William Howard Taft, has already apologized to all of Ohio with a statement to the media. Thursday, Taft was fined $1,000 for each of four misdemeanor counts of filing incomplete financial-disclosure statements from 1998 through 2004.

I'd like to feel insulted or proud but I havent quite grown to think of myself as actually "living" in Ohio as much as I think of myself living in a dark office in the state next to Pennsylvania.

and i'm thinking of myself as living in the house before the one i get in pennsylvania. go figure.

They probably would have only levied civil charges in place of criminal if only his handicap had been a bit better, and he'd bought more drinks at the 19th hole.
