9/16/2005: Tiger mates with lioness

Happy Friday!

IotD pretty much figures on not bringing you porn - because you can surely find that if you look for it, this is the Internet. But as in the whale penis, sometimes it's necessary. What you see there is an extremely rare photo - a tiger will screw a lioness, but it's rare and not often photographed. This particular grind happened in a safari park in China. She has a nice expression on her face, don't you think?

As Napoleon Dynamite said, "The liger - it's pretty much my favorite animal." And a few weeks ago somebody suggested this shot of an actual liger, which waited patiently for its Friday shot, but this surely eclipses it. The half-lion, half-tiger liger:



But this is not what the male tiger and female lioness above are working on. The liger is what happens when a male lion impregnates a female tiger. If the above male tiger impregnates the female lion, the result will be a tigon.

I am not making this up.

You know, guys will pretty much do it with anyone. Capt. Kirk did it with a whole 'nother species. And Spocks mom was HUMAN while his dad was Vulcan! Guys are so funky. But, I like them.

I read something kinda interesting about Tigons and Ligers:

The lion in the background has this "Whoa - what the....!" look.

It looks like the tiger is wispering sweet nothings in the ear of the lioness, but what I think he's saying is, "This will take just a second, then I'll be off to watch Sports Center."

Ummm..ISTM that every time some guy does it with a female of another species- - - so does the female.

Oh, and unlike, say, preying mantises, we don't kill our mates. Evolution has given us opposable thumbs and divorce attorneys.

I thought dolphins did it for recreation too.

Well, plenty of male animals will lick thier balls or jerk off. It's not sex, but it's similar. They probably do it for fun.
