does anyone know

of a list of those star codes for your phone? like star69 to call the last number etc? I forget what they're called and Googling doesn't help me. I know there are a bunch but only know like two.

Not in MY hick town phone book Bruce. Thanks BigV. I didn't know what to call them for Googling. I am not a Google master anyway. There are times when I miss Dagney. Now THERE is a Google master! She can find anything within a minute or two.

National Do Not Call Registry. Yes, you can register your cell phone.

I thought legally they couldn't call your cellphone because it cost you money ("minutes.") Only two telemarketers have ever called my cellphone, and both times I just interrupted them and said "This is a cellphone, you know" and they immediately apologized profusely and obviously took me off whatever list they had.

If you dial *67 before you call someone, it blocks your # from showing up on caller ID.

Does the *67 work? Does it cost extra?

*67 works great, free service.

We use it at work when we have to call back patients houses, not to talk to the patient, but to the family member that's trying to lock them up, and we don't want "THE NUTHOUSE" showing on their caller ID.

There are also staff (case managers and psychiatrists) who have to call patients from home, so it's very handy that way as well.
