Well, you DO have a couple of gerbils in a treadmill that provide emergency back-up for your computer's power supply just in case, don't you? I thought EVERYONE did. :lol:

Well, laptops have batteries, but the cable modems would be out. Only people with dial-up could connect without a UPS.

The message is have a laptop with fully charged batteries available at all times and a fall back, dial-up connection available. If the phone lines are down, too, you're on your own. :worried:
