Tonight I grilled eggplant and a steak that had been marinating for a few days. My first time to grill eggplant, was good.

That looks like the worst meal ever.

Ever.

Just kidding. Looks awesome! Wish I had a picture of the t-bone I did on the Foreman tonight. I think I just about have it mastered ...

Looks awesome, busterb!

What was your marinade and did you do anything special to the eggplant?

MMMMM!

On the steak I used Allegro marinade, Tony's. Then brushed w/oil. Brushed the e-plant with a mix of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lime, S&P and italian seasoning.

cool... i always thought you had to heavily salt eggplant to make it taste edible... but what you did sounds fabulous!

I salted it and let drain for about 1 hr. Then patted dry. Sometimes I slice like FF's then salt and drain and shake w/a take-off mix of the outback onion batter mix.

That's a fabulous idea... i bet they taste like deep fried zuchini... except it's eggplant. Thanks for all of the great suggestions.
