Hello all. I haven't been around in a while due to stupid medical problems. I have Crohn's disease and I know a few other cellarites do too. I'm having my first ever surgery tomorrow. Wish me luck! Ulcerative colitis got my colon in 1990, so I've been through it and a bag of chips, too.
I just browsed your blog, too, and I just want to say that everything in there is *really* familiar, right down to the vampires mining me for veins and ending up with the PICC line (I referred to mine as "Satanic jewelry").

I'm one of those others with Crohn's disease. I feel your pain -- really.
I didn't see that you said what they're going to do during surgery. I presume that it's to cut out the abcess? I hope that's gone well for you.
Crohn's disease seems to be different in every person, but PM me, if you like, and I'll give you my thoughts on it. I've had it for 30 years now, so I've learned to deal with it.
