Hello all. I haven't been around in a while due to stupid medical problems. I have Crohn's disease and I know a few other cellarites do too. I'm having my first ever surgery tomorrow. Wish me luck! Good luck! Speed-read your blog, ewww. Don't take no stuff from nobody. If it hurts/stinks/ain't right, tell'em. Hitting them on the head with bedpan is optional, style points only. I'll remember you in my prayers.

The Cellar is a great recovery accessory!

Hope all goes well. I'll direct some energy your way. (This would be the pagan-y equivalent to telling you I'll pray for yah, but some people get a little funny when you start talking about dressing candles and spellwork and all. Now, where did I put that rose quartz and that chicken?)

Ulcerative colitis got my colon in 1990, so I've been through it and a bag of chips, too.

I just browsed your blog, too, and I just want to say that everything in there is *really* familiar, right down to the vampires mining me for veins and ending up with the PICC line (I referred to mine as "Satanic jewelry").

Give me a PM when you get back, we'll chat.

I'm one of those others with Crohn's disease. I feel your pain -- really.

I didn't see that you said what they're going to do during surgery. I presume that it's to cut out the abcess? I hope that's gone well for you.

Crohn's disease seems to be different in every person, but PM me, if you like, and I'll give you my thoughts on it. I've had it for 30 years now, so I've learned to deal with it.
