Why IOTD is great

I love IOTD because it's so much more than just a list of pictures. UT's insightful commentary, and the occasional brilliant response by a member, are really what makes the site.

This thread is intended to be a record of the things besides the pictures that make IOTD so great.

It's not IOTD, but some of the leaps in logic here are brilliant: http://www.cellar.org/showthread.php?t=7811

(Though you do have to have a strong stomach for some of these images...)

IOTD is great because it sometimes draws the subject of the IOTD into the cellar.

example: a few months back i received a PM from a gentlemen in response to a smartass comment i made in the Supervaluable headstone for a cat thread. it turns out the guy who PM'd me was the guy in the article. UT and i both had PM's and concluded that it really is the guy.

i know there have been other instances, but i can't think of any right now. CRS.

Because it sure as hell beats setting at coffee shop & someone saying, " Boy look at that load of chickens. Or ain't that a fine load of logs, wonder where they're going?"
I can maybe place that in context if you care to PM me. :smack:

Don't have to...been there, done that. Well, not your "there", my "there" but they work the same. ;)
