Brucs is going to take over IotD soon, I hear. Anyway, these youngsters are saltwater crocs, one week old, at the Taronga Zoo. They were amongst the Yahoo Most Popular for a while, because of their obvious appeal.

These youngsters are harvested to make this product:

Well, I think the picture is cool. I wouldn't say the baby crocs are cute, but they are neat to look at. I especially like how they all are just sitting around with their mouths agap, just waiting to chomp on something. Little bastards. :)

Take out the little arms, and it would look like the guy is holding a baby hydra.

One more thing to contribute to my already over abundant nightmares!!! :worried:

Thanks Cellar. ;)

Saltwater Crocs get to about 16 ft give or take a little. That's bigger than fresh water croc isn't it?

[B] 70'S FLASH.......
Roach Clips
Great image. I am amazed at how small they are. Even now they look like they could tear your finger off.
I remember as a child, you could buy baby alligators at K-Mart. Horned toads, too. Imagine that. I understand that an alligator is relatively docile compared to the salt water croc. Glad they didn't sell us kids crocs........
* Second thought: the baby gators they sold us were probably the sole explanation to the success of another novelty in that era. The "Sixfinger".. :joint:

The only part that sticks out for me is the amputated piece of leg hiding in the shadow under the jaw of the one on the bottom right. But I don't know a damn thing about Photoshop so I don't know if that's insanely hard to fix or you just forgot about it. :)

I think they are cute, cute, cute! I went to a swampy place down around NOLA and got to hold one of those fresh-water alligators. It was soooo cute and had a great smile. Looked very friendly and companionable. Of course, it was a baby. Cute creatures until they try to eat you. I fear most large bodies of water--salt or fresh. Monsters lurk in them all.

I just missed it. It was a quick and dirty job.

How's this? I reddened up the eyes for extra effect, as well...
