Since we seem to be in the business of it, lately, when is the US going to help provide some freedom for the people of Darfur? (graphic image warning)
... which is the simplistic answer. Realities are far more complex and quite obsure. Yes, anyone can see dead bodies. That says people are dying. But again from the lessons of history - responsibility lies first with the regional powers. More commonly known as the African Union whose militaries spend something like $20billlion annually on military expenditures and are suppose to have about 100 divisions at their disposal. The African Union local command HQ is suppose to be in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. So what is the African Union doing about Darfur?OnyxCougar wrote:This is what the UN is doing.
Basically, nothing.
