Streaming Tunes

[font=Century Gothic]This could be an Entertaininment or an Internet thread equally, but I'm entertained, so here goes.

I've recently become frankly disgusted with commercial radio. Since I'm not going to go with Sirius or XFM anytime in the near future, I've found myself listening mostly to talk radio in the car, and streaming audio at home.

I like XPN when I do listen to broadcast radio, and have found radioparadise.com meets a lot of my musical 'demands'. (Not the same song every 5 minutes, a nice blend of offbeat and mainstream artists, and stuff that lets me tune my brain out while I do whatever it is that I do.)

Does anyone here listen to streaming audio? If so, what do you listen to? Any recommendations? (Now, if I just set up my audio recorder program, I could actually take this to work with me!)

I like a lot of the comedy & quiz programs from the BBC, and also some of their classical music stuff. And there's always Le Show by Harry Shearer.

I am a cheap bitch, and therefore enjoy the free stations on both microsoft media player (Native American is the one I listen to most) and Netscape Radio.

I also make use of the "my station" feature on yahoo messenger launchcast radio. I really liked the nasty christmas songs station too.

If you have winamp you can open the playlist editor and click on internet radio and there will be more stations than you can stand.

There's a pagan station (says it's pagan anyway) on iTunes for those of you who go that route.

Something else that is happening, and I don't remember if I saw it here first or not is PodCasting.
