My basic idea for the CD cover:
<img src="http://www.myrefrigerator.com/images/Sax%20Maniac.jpg">
A short home video of Aubrey, picking up on Gerry Rafferty's 'Baker Street' (which has a great sax solo) very quickly; it's a short 19 sec viddy, but a 20 meg download, that's Nikon for ya':
http://www.myrefrigerator.com/videos/Sax%20Maniac%20029.movand the music producing enters this how?
sm:
I am just wishing, but I have already set most of this up:
1) A killer sax player who can assemble a killer band in a heartbeat. He wants to get away from singing the Blues, more into the R&B type.
2) A vocalist who covers Mary J Blige type songs but sounds better than Mary J Blige
3) A partner who has a musiic video set, with an 18-wheel trailer and a caboose as backdrops among other things, but unfortunately no recording equipment at this time.
4,5) Will, and a credit card
6) I get credit as Bongo player
When I get something half-assed to show in the meantime I will post it. Wish me luck.
i think what sm's getting at is that producing music has a whole lot to do with sitting in a studio for 12 hours at a time, obsessing over lots of nitpicky musical things like "that A string has a weird harmonic coming from it when you fret the G#," or "sing that through THIS microphone this time and see if we get the right sound," or "I know you've played that line 499 times, but I think it can be cooler. play it again."
or "i've got a fever, and the only prescription is MORE COWBELL!"
Not having ever been involved with video in any way, I dunno what that entails. Anyway, good luck dude, hope you have success.
CD cover has a nifty Dire-Straitsy thing going for it, too.
Part 1 was completed long ago.
Check out Part 2 and please feel free to leave comments:

Sax Maniac is great. You have to figure out how to convert it to a smaller file so more people can see it...really. :)
