B) I work with what I have. If there was any nipplage in the original photo, it was removed long before I got my hands on it.

I'm gonna have to find an appropriately smutty pic of myself to post here since I always end up talking about sex. . . :p Failing that, I'll go the opposite end of the scale and take some school-marmish pics. . . (dangit, I just got my hair cut and now can't stick a pencil into an updo - Bah, I say!)

I'll see what I can come up with this evening.

Lookout is Michael Stipe!
elf • Feb 3, 2005 12:21 pm
Here's waay too much information on Why Elf Hasn't Posted Pictures:

I need tech support.

Seriously.

There are some pictures of me on my computer at home. They do exist.

This computer that they are on is the one that has the software for downloading from my camera. This computer is not online. On this computer, there is a zip drive and a CDRom drive.

No other computer that I have access to has a zip drive. None.

Sooo. I try to install the download software for my camera on the hubby's computer, which has a writeable cd drive thingy, a 3.5" floppy drive, etc. It's not online either, but I figure I can download from the camera to his computer, save to disk, bring said disk in to work and upload. Easy, right?

No good. Software is not compatible with the OS he's running (Windows 2000NT, I think).

So I have him take the 3.5" floppy drive off his computer, and stick it in mine. Figure I'll get them off my computer that way, bring them to work and upload. Easy, Right?

Ohh, no. There's no place to put it. :bawling: The guy put my computer together went all weird and the way it's set up, another disk thing just simply won't fit.

So the Hubby will pick up a longer cable for the floppy drive and figure out some way to make it work.

 Ohhhh, maybe he can just hook it up long enough to save the pics to the disk? :smack: There's no reason the tower has to be all closed up, is there? :shocking:

Elf - Does your camera connect via usb? If so, try this.

Some digital cameras are recognized by the OS in 2000 and XP as USB external hard drives.

Don't bother to install the software.

Connect the camera to your husband's pc.

Turn the camera on.

Open up a Windows Explorer window (Windows key + E or double click on My Computer).

Look at the list of hard drives. Does it show an additional hard drive?

If so just copy the files from the new hard drive (actually your camera) to the hard drive of your husband's pc.

Open them in your favorite picture viewing software - irfanview is free and well thought of.

Resize it to a convenient viewing size. (Check that it is < 100k) If it is jpg and a reasonable size it should be.

Upload it to cellar (Look below the submit reply button. You should see a Manage Attachments button.)
Wow, that actually made me laugh. Actually, I don't do that look anymore due to cost constraints. I can't afford to get hair dye every other week anymore. But I *am* the talk around here, I guess. I get a lot of funny looks for my piercing (a bar that goes through two parts at the top of my ear. Piercing guy had one and I thought it looked cool. He called it an "industrial".) They probably think it was a mishap with the cattle tagger.

No more goth/punk. Just a closet freak with my own seeeeecret laborrratory.

I don't get out much.

Cool,. let's see some pics of the lab!
kerosene • May 16, 2005 3:36 pm
I was referring to my "studio" which was pictured in the Studio in place thread the other day. It's not exactly a lab...and not secret...

I was just trying to sound interesting. This is what happens to a person who moves out to the middle of Southwest Kansas.
Elspode • May 16, 2005 3:51 pm
Come to the Pagan festival...I assure you that afterward, you will actually *be* interesting (well, if you aren't already, I mean. I'm sure you are...).
kerosene • May 16, 2005 3:57 pm
I am sure there are some interesting things about me, I just have yet to find too much of interest to me out here. I like spending time alone, so I haven't had too hard a time of it, just whining, that's all.

I am going to try to make it to the festival....I dunno if you got my email.
Elspode • May 16, 2005 4:59 pm

It would be nice if there was a page with everyone's name and picture. Like, you know, a link at the top, along with user cp and all that good stuff. It's nice to have a picture to go along with the names, but it's a pain in the ass to find them all. And not everyone's pictures are in their profiles, even though they're here...
404Error • May 17, 2005 7:22 am
I don't know much about rugby...what's this guy doing?
jaguar • May 17, 2005 8:19 am
judging by the expression of the guy he wasn't expecting it whatever it is.

Stacey, click on the member list ... people only have pictures on there if they wanted to post one, but it's as close as we get.

That and the "Cellar Member Gallery" thread.

And the Plastic Forks pictures.

Bullitt, I know facing the scrum can be a little intimidating but the guy sucking his thumb is a little much.

he's one of the guys supporting the scrum behind one of the two props, who hold up the middle guy, the hooker. The scrum is basically the two opposing sides trying to kick the ball rolled between them to the back of their scrum, and get the ball out to the backs who can then start running it foward.

I agree, stace - my picture wasnt on my profile until recently, but it was splashed about all over everywhere else.

I have no inhibitions about posting my picture - i mean who cares.. people see my face all day when they walk into the shop.. so who cares if all you see me.! and if i do get famous.. i can always just get on her and delete all photos and incriminating posts quick smart :)

I just stumbled across this old picture of me. This was back in early 1988. My hair is a little shorter these days.
cowhead • May 24, 2005 3:45 am

after a long hot day at disneyland, my boy wanted to ride the motorcycle game at ESPNZone. notice the look of concentration as i am trying to teach an almost 4 year old that we aren't allowed to run over pedestrians when there may be witnesses.
lookout123 • May 25, 2005 6:45 pm
earlier in the day he met Max. or so he tells me that creature's name is, anyway.
lookout123 • May 25, 2005 6:54 pm
last picture, i promise. does anybody remember the simple joys of childhood? like a cold sprinkler on a hot day? remember when your smile could be bigger than you?
Sun_Sparkz • May 25, 2005 8:13 pm
Awwwwwww.. i love that last picture. the happiest kid in the world!! cute!!
kerosene • Sep 5, 2008 11:06 am
I was just rereading this thread. Did we ever get a picture of elf?
Flint • Sep 5, 2008 11:13 am
I don't know, but god-dang you're cute.
lookout123 • Sep 5, 2008 3:44 pm
no, no elf. turns out that as proud as she was of her poly/orgy lifestyle she didn't want to be recognized.
kerosene • Sep 5, 2008 3:59 pm
Ah, well...some prefer anonyminyminymity.

Thanks, Flint.

Jeeze, she looks quite normal compared to my mom. When diminished was here, he told me she got married to the local weirdo who took her to church in a wheelbarrow.

And I shall spend my pension
on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals,
and say we've no money for butter.

Oh wait. That's more or less my pattern of spending already :(
SamIam • Feb 4, 2010 10:36 am
Sounds like my budget. I no longer buy brandy, though. I did see a cute purple dress at the thrift shop. Wonder if its still there. Pics to follow. ;)

"I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth"

Funny, I just posted this somewhere else recently in a thread about aging gracefully....which I refuse to do. :headshake Old age is going to have to drag me there, kicking and screaming.

"Whenever Richard Cory went down town,
We people on the pavement looked at him:
He was a gentleman from sole to crown,
Clean favored, and imperially slim.

And he was always quietly arrayed,
And he was always human when he talked;
But still he fluttered pulses when he said,
'Good-morning,' and he glittered when he walked.

And he was rich—yes, richer than a king—
And admirably schooled in every grace:
In fine, we thought that he was everything
To make us wish that we were in his place.

So on we worked, and waited for the light,
And went without the meat, and cursed the bread;
And Richard Cory, one calm summer night,
Went home and put a bullet through his head."
