Swimsuit recommendations, please

SteveDallas • Jan 15, 2005 6:35 pm
Anybody know of a place in the Philadelphia area that might sell one-piece women's swimsuits (preferably that don't cost a mint)? Mrs. Dallas has been looking for one, but all she can find are the "tankini" models, which she doesn't like. (Yeah, I know it's out of season......)
elSicomoro • Jan 15, 2005 6:37 pm
She might want to try a sporting goods store, like Modell's or Sports Authority.

And the swimsuits should be coming into stores like Penney's any time now...Spring Break is only 6 weeks away.
SteveDallas • Jan 15, 2005 6:41 pm
I think she did all that, but I'll suggest it again.

(I'm hoping to stem the complaints on the subject... ;) )

What about the Sears or Penney's catalogs?
melidasaur • Jan 15, 2005 7:04 pm
I would recommend either LLBean or Land's end Catalogs... one of them (can't remember which) has good one piece swimsuits and I think a decent return policy should it not fit.

You could check forman mills. Being a discounter, they might carry leftovers year round.

J.Crew has fantastic swimsuits, only online right now though, and they run about 2 sizes smaller than dress size. Gap Body has some nice ones right now too, although I can't remeber if they have any one-piece.

The hands-down best store for women's swim attire is Speedo.

Hi, This is my wife Cassandra and her friend Amanda enjoying their Wicked Weasels in Las Vegas last summer. Cassandra's wearing a 456 Hot Pink Top: S Bottom: S and Amanda's wearing a 449 Rainbow Top: XS Bottom: S.

I don't know the guy and I hate him already.

Hi my name is Mignon, and these photos are from the 2004 summer. Some of the pictures are from Torremolinos, Spain; and others are from places in Holland. My first thong bikini and I love it. The style, and fit are exactly what I want in a bikini. Wearing this Wicked Weasel bikini made me feel so feminine and sexy. The bikini and clothing has helped me break out of my shell, gain a lot of self-confidence, and helped with the way I perceive my body image. The attention received on the beach is great. I love this line of summer wear, and I cannot wait till next summer and my next Wicked Weasel bikini. Thank you, Mignon

Since she is topless in a few of the photos, I guess the "break out of my shell, gain a lot of self-confidence" part was a great success. BTW, if they show a picture of a topless woman, and a "buy this item" link, how do you know you are buying both pieces of the bikini. ;) What if only the bottom comes in the mail, and when you call them they say "Sod off mate, you could see she was only wearing one piece in the picture". This could lead to a whole slew of companies defrauding the public by showing topless women in bikini bottoms and making extra profit by only sending the bottoms. :p
xoxoxoBruce • Jan 16, 2005 5:59 pm
On the up side, it could lead to more topless women. ;)
SteveDallas • Jan 16, 2005 8:07 pm
Why did I know this was going to happen if I posted this question?

How about here?

I'm not sure the Mrs is brave enough to wear one in public (or private), but it's an interesting concept.

How the hell are we supposed to know if those look good if they're not being modeled?
SteveDallas • Jan 19, 2005 8:18 pm
You know, Brian, I didn't think we would see anything LESS likely for her to purchase than the Wicked Weasel collection, but I guess I was wrong. ;)
Undertoad • Jan 19, 2005 8:36 pm
s c o r e !

Now, is there anything LESS likely than you taking shots of her in this outfit and posting it to this thread?

i'm getting this one for jinx:

i'll start bidding for the pictures sometime this summer.
footfootfoot • Jan 19, 2005 9:25 pm
Wicked weasels! Rock on.

Mrs. Foot greenlighted them right before she was preggers. Then the boob fairy arrived, I was too distracted to get around to ordering one, I better do it before the boob fairy leaves...

The one you posted from last summer's vacation was impressive enough!

But you know, the string back is immodest. I'm glad they have the option to cover up with the triangle-back. :3_eyes:

UT.... let's just says there's probably nothing less likely that involves her wearing a swimsuit.
lumberjim • Jan 19, 2005 11:44 pm
yeah, she has selected the triangle back.

They are only sold as singles unless it states otherwise I believe....

hm, a newbie called mrbigpapa resurrects a five-year old thread to inquire about a link to a picture of women almost wearing swimsuits?

Commence spamming in 5... 4......

And people actually try to answer questions about it! :lol2:

Well, after five years, Mrs Dallas proably needs a replacement for that suit....
