So Pete and I are kicking around the idea of a trip to Costa Rica with the youts. We figure this would be way more fun than your wildwaterdisneyvillemarinetownchocoparkyland. Has anybody done the sun/surf/ecotour stuff down there? Sounds pretty sweet from snowy NEPA. All advice welcome.
While I've never been to Costa Rica, I have spent a couple weeks in the Keys around Key West. I'd say bring lots of waterproof sunscreen, apply it often, and bring more rolls of film than you think you'll need. The sunsets/sunrises down there are downright gorgeous.
I had a roommate years back that did some eco study/bio illustration down there and loved loved loved it. Couldnt wait to return again and again. Sounds like a terrific idea for the gang. Nationally, very dedicated, forward thinking in terms of eco tourism as their great asset- so lots of support.
