I know that it would only encourage tw but a bigger text entry box would be nice. It would make selective quoting easier as well.
Maybe a little bigger but not like horribly terribly bigger?
Half again in each dimension?
While were on the subject, would it be possible to put the hyperlink button on the Quick Reply window?
How about just the vertical. Most people don't have monitors your size.

That's cool, I run 1280x1024 on my laptop which is where I do most of my cellarizing.
Thanks
Sir:
Is is possible that the text input box be permitted to dynamically resize its width like the quote boxes do?
See pic.
Thanks in advance.
--ok, I surrender. I can NOT get the image/attachment thang to cooperate. But I'm certain you understand my description. If not, I will try again. Maybe email the message with the image attached...
The boxes that surround the black text on a blue background when composing a post that includes a quote. For example, when I preview such a reply in a window of my browser that is wider than the text entry box, the size of the box that surrounds the quote stretches and shrinks when I change the size of the browser window, but the size of the text entry box does not.
For those of us who talk a lot, a bigger text box would make it easier it compose in the window of the browser, instead of some other offline editor, then clipboarding it into the little window.
I try to compose and format my posts carefully and the preview option is a great one. I use it all the time. But having to traipse in and out of the browser is tiresome.
Not that I'm complaining--I have really grown fond of the discussions in the cellar, both those I've participated in and those I've only read. Thanks!
Oh. No, text entry boxes can't dynamically resize; it's a browser thing.
Well i'm pretty sure they can, it just requires some very ugly jscript that does things god never intended jscript to do. Wouldn't an easier option be a new option in prefs (Textbox size: small, med, tw&bigv) and a line of php on the form? fairly easy to use the existing config structure (playing with it for the flash mapping app).
