11/2/2004: Hong Kong fast food sculpture

Today's item combines IotD's interest in massive food and public sculpture. This is not actually food; it's an item in a public art exhibit in a Hong Kong mall, featuring the country's fast food.

I can just hear that guy going, "Whaa...?"

That's great! Even the bowl's all natsy-looking and warped..and somehow looks more edible than the food itself does.

I can make out the chives but what's all that other stuff s'posed to be? Esp that white ball? Is that a ball o' lard or what?

Let's call it ice cream and leave it at that.

What ever it is--I'm sure it tastes like chicken :yum:

There's even an MSG flavor pack on the floor next to it.

That's actually one of those mini-people they found on a visit from Flores Island.

Hong Kong have massive fish balls, Bondi Beach (Australia) have massive Crabs. :eek:

That puts a new perspective on 'Got Crabs'

I can't imagine eating all that chinese food and being hungry an hour later. :headshake

He appears to be looking for chopsticks, or maybe just a large fork. He does not appear to be a native admiring the beauty?????????? or the meaning of the exibit........
