Voila, the most-pierced woman in the world with about 1,100 piercings.
lookout123 • Sep 4, 2004 12:28 pm
yeah. i think i prefer christina aguilera's piercings though.
jaguar • Sep 4, 2004 12:47 pm
I think they used to do this to people as a punishment in the middle ages.
Trilby • Sep 4, 2004 12:55 pm
Are you sure that's a woman? Ye gods! The infection risk alone is enough to have me reaching for the rubbing alcohol and penicillin!
lookout123 • Sep 4, 2004 1:00 pm
oh, i'm sure they were all perfectly sterile piercing needles. and i'm sure her tattoo artist used a new needle each time.
xoxoxoBruce • Sep 4, 2004 1:31 pm
From Guinness Book of Records;"Most Pierced Woman By August 9, 2001, Elaine Davidson, of Edinburgh, Scotland, had a record-breaking total of 720 piercings. She first broke the record in May 2000, when a Guinness World Records official examined her and found 462 piercings on various parts of her body, including 192 on her facial area alone."

From AP via Yahoo; "The world's most pierced woman, Elaine Davidson from Brazil, a resident in the Scottish city of Edinburgh, poses for photographer during the 6th Ti-Tattoo Convention in Lugano, Switzerland, late Friday, Aug. 27, 2004. Davidson claims to have upwards of 1,900 piercings, and has an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records"

Anyway, she's butt ugly. :eyebrow:
garnet • Sep 4, 2004 2:03 pm
That is so messed up. And what's all that shit dangling off her forehead? Geez life is hard enough without having to walk around looking like that...and she did it to herself!
irma • Sep 4, 2004 3:35 pm
Weird. Here's another Pierced woman
404Error • Sep 4, 2004 3:46 pm
Let's not forget the obvious reply.....Mother Davidson, a holy woman!

Her face looks gangrene like hell. I hope that's just makeup.

Elspode • Sep 5, 2004 1:05 am
I'd pay good money to see this woman get an MRI.
paxton • Sep 5, 2004 1:21 am
And here's some more info, if you have a strong constitution.
"Davidson has more piercings in her genitalia than in any other part of the body - 500 in all, externally and internally."

Internally?!?! Ouch. And yuck.

 Good one, Els.

I just thought. Can you imagine that woman trying to get on a plane these days?

I used to toil as an X-Ray Tech. There were many a surprised lad and lass when I told them I'd have to remove that nipple ring before I took the radiograph. We kept a pair of pliers handy for just that purpose. You'd be amazed at what you can learn about your patient just by taking their X-ray--penile implants, breast implants, foreign objects of all sorts lodged in unlikely places...I once took an X-Ray of a blind guy who had a gun in his pocket. I didn't know that until the film came out of the processor...ah, the good ol' days...
wolf • Sep 5, 2004 5:18 pm
Eeeeeeauw.

I think even one facial piercing looks freaky.

Just not good.

Must gouge out eyes ...

Now, is she making enough money off these personal appearance type things to support herself, or is she living off the dole?

Lookee, Great Britain ... she's your Inland Revenue dollars at work.
Karenv • Sep 5, 2004 6:20 pm
"oh, i'm sure they were all perfectly sterile piercing needles. and i'm sure her tattoo artist used a new needle each time."

Lookout-

Sterile needles don't stop infection from happening. Whenever I come down with a flu or other infection, my ear piercings (of many years standing) get infected. Infections anywhere near the "T-zone" of the face can be fatal- remember why they told you not to pick zits there?

As for tattoos, not only the needle but the ink needs to be sterile. Otherwise at each dip of the pen, the ink gets contaminated. Something like 85% of people with tatts are up for infection from Hep C- fortunately it has a 20 year incubation period.
Trilby • Sep 5, 2004 7:14 pm
Well hells bells!
jojomonkeygirl • Sep 5, 2004 11:56 pm
my tongue is pierced...and I have 4 tattoos. no infections. I would never pick a zit though...that would hurt!

people really do that? i honestly thought that was just an insecure frat boy joke. seriously. about 10 years ago i dubbed a friend "implant boy" and everyone still calls him that. i may have to end that now that i know it is real.

??????edit??????????

ok, i'll make this a full fledged thread hijacking. do these things look and feel real? are they um, functional or just there to make the guy feel better about the bulge in his pants?

actually the sterile needle prevents the process of piercing from introducing infection. what happens with your open flesh wound after the piercing is no longer the technician's fault.

check your facts on the tattoos. your numbers may be accurate in prison but not in reputable shops. the ink is required (at least in Illinois, Iowa, and Arizona) must be stored in appropriate containers and once removed for use, cannot be reintroduced to the original container. the ink is placed into small containers, similar to a McD's ketchup container so you ink is only contaminated with your blood, so no risk of contamination. if you have a reputable provider you will have A) gloved artist B) sterile or new needle C) fresh ink straight from storage. the chance for hep c is extremely minimal.

i've got my share ( and maybe yours too) of piercings and tattoos and have close friends in the business and have yet to meet anyone run into trouble using reputable providers.

BUT, what is this about zits in the t zone? never heard that one.

I can assure you, they do. I've been performing them for years, but exclusively on women.
xoxoxoBruce • Sep 6, 2004 9:01 am

My O.R. nurse friend would crack up when Hans & Frans wanted to "Pump you up", for different reasons than most. ;)
Karenv • Sep 6, 2004 10:10 am
The "T zone" is your forehead down to the sides of the nose- the part of your face that is oiliest when you are a teen. It is close to nerves running to the brain, so they warn kids not to pick zits there.

The piercings get infected because the body gets infected. I'm not talking about infection from the initial piercing- my ears were healed without problem, but when you get a systemic infection it can irritate the skin. I'm guessing that the metal that is tolerated when the immune system is functioning well can be irritating when the immune system is compromised with disease. I find even surgical steel can be a problem then- gold less so.

The 85% Hepatitis C rate is based on the already pierced but not yet full blown diseased- I think it will fall as clean tattoo technique laws spread. The number may even be a bit dated, but damn, that is a high number to fall from. Hep C is symptomless during most of the 20 year incubation period. They're expecting a huge mushrooming of Hep C rates in the future. (Even nail salons spread it.)

BTW, I'm an acupuncturist and we've found that midline (upper lip to groin) piercings in women can be associated with menstrual and fertility problems because they are along the Conception Meridian. The menstrual problems often go away with changing piercings to gold. Sometimes that isn't enough for infertility, but removing them helps. I suggest checking out the acupuncture meridians before piercing and making sure you aren't constantly stimulating an important point. (The teacher I learned this from was much pierced- it isn't just prejudice.)
Troubleshooter • Sep 6, 2004 12:11 pm
I wonder what would happen to that woman if I walked by and just, by some strange quirk of fate, happened to have one of the those marine dredging magnets in my backpack?

I mean, stranger things have happened...
jaguar • Sep 6, 2004 12:28 pm
I have a bolt of metal thorugh my tongue, I've never had an infection of any sort from it nor any other ongoing health problems.
xoxoxoBruce • Sep 6, 2004 12:52 pm
I knew you were a silver tongued devil. :)
jinx • Sep 6, 2004 2:05 pm
I found that any metal in my ear piercings caused problems for me, but my nose has been pierced twice and I've never had a problem with it.
How often do you get systemic infections? That would concern me more than just how it affects piercings.
BrianR • Sep 6, 2004 8:14 pm
I also have a piercing...scary to think of an infection THERE! Yikes!

Perhaps it's time to take it out and let the hole heal. Might be worth it just to be able to stand and pee again!

Yeah, penile implants are for real--they are functional. Exactly--ya just gotta pump it up! Voila! I think the best thing is that you don't have to deflate until everybody's happy! :)
They do look real because they are on the INSIDE of the penis with just a little device for pumping showing. It's like the inside of an inner tube--you know? It's the guy with a little, um, "pumper" inside his special purpose. It doesn't make him bigger, just harder so he can achieve a little happiness! (and so can his partner!)---it's all good!
Clodfobble • Sep 6, 2004 8:36 pm
with just a little device for pumping showing

Is it visible to the standard observer?! I keep picturing a penis with one of those little plastic basketball bulges like Air Jordans used to have...
Trilby • Sep 6, 2004 9:23 pm
No, you'd have to be looking for it! The man can usually inflate it very discreetly. It's usually under the twins if you know what I mean

Ok, this multi-multi-multi-pierced lady is much easier on the eyes, even with all the piercings. Quite well done, I think, nice hoop and chain choices. If you're going to have a million piercings, end up looking like the lady in the link, not...the other one. I wouldn't want to run into that face on a dark night...or a bright day...or...ever. :worried:
jaguar • Sep 7, 2004 8:53 am
I know a chick with about 30 piercing, only 4 on her face. Until then I didn't know you could get a cleavage piercing.

HM has pretty much nailed it.
That could be intrepreted as a really bad pun considering the context.

Just out of curiosity, do they make piercing studs with LED's? I think that would be an interesting next step.

Wait, I did find these , but they are clip-ons.
BrianR • Sep 12, 2004 9:48 pm
Yes...I have seen tongue bars with flashing LEDs in the end. Weird to see in a dark club.

There's a certain sort of woman I think of as "I dare you to love me." They really do want to be loved, but they regularly throw a wrench in the gears to see if you'll still love them even if they do .. xyz whatever.

I wonder if this sort of thing is something along that line.
glatt • Sep 13, 2004 10:33 am
Well, an otherwise plain looking woman now has her picture all over the internet. I think there's also a certain amount of attention seeking at work here too.
xoxoxoBruce • Sep 13, 2004 7:53 pm
OK, laugh at me, ridicule me, belittle me,....but spell my name right. :)
