Finding the Cellar

Have you ever been searching for something else on Google and come up with a Cellar reference?

I'm looking to find a source of Mizithra cheese in chicago. So I put Chicago and Mizithra into google. #6 in the list is the "Quick and Not from a box" thread that I started a while ago. It found 'chicago' from my location and 'Mizithra' in tristemoi's post.

I found the Cellar by google-ing "Whale Penis". I needed a pic and it was an Iotd. Voila!

And you needed a pic for...?

That damn whale penis! I swear, 20 years from now, I'm gonna be applying for a job somewhere, and the search committee will be discussing whether they want to hire somebody with whale penis connections.

Frankly, I can't believe you have to ask that question. ;)

Friend of mine was going to the New Bedford (Ma) Whaling Museum and mentioned to me that they had a whale penis there and, naturally, I was jealous that he was going to see one when I had not. So, I googled. I laughed so hard at the posts to that picture...I had to get to know you all!

Juju had a photo of the day forum on the old version of his Hinterlands website...one day featured a real whale penis. Unfortunately, he recently had a problem with the forum software he was using, and lost everything. All those old links now refer to the home page of the new version of his site.

Incidentally, the Bosque has a copy of said photo...here, on page 3.
