Why I Don't Make "Milestone" Posts
Because I become aware that I'm approaching one, then don't pay any damn attention, even when I've checked and know that I'm just five away ...
So, I started this thread in honor of my 5,016th post. In this incarnation of The Cellar.
5016 posts...that's truly awesome. What an incredible milestone! I'm speechless! I can't think of anything more to say!

I'm very dissapointed in myself for not noticing the approach of 5000. I could have and should have made a big production out of it...all very embarrassing for you, I'm afraid, but in an endearing way.....you know. daRn
The great ones do it with such ease that no one even notices.
I believe 5k gives you uber-giant status. :)
Though I've read scant few your postings, I feel near and honored to share this milestone with the wolf who, well, to be frank, is a beacon of understanding in this dark, dark world. Let's hear it for Commitment Officers! If not for they, who would know oneself sane?

Some people have a gift for gab. I was curious about who had started the most threads as a better indicator of whose gift was greatest. After spot checking a few, I found that the tally for the number of threads started ends with the 500 most recent. Is the count continued elsewhere; or, is that the limit of the program?
What difference does it make? Number of posts/ number of threads, both are history. What's important is who posts next, who keeps it alive and flowing.
Oh, and hits the tip jar occasionally.
I was also wondering if senior citizens with the gift of gab were more prone to having senior moments. Thank you for your input.

So, I thought that I remembered a milestone post thread, one that wasn't this one, and I'm pretty sure it was where jim tried the whole "I'm quitting at 10k and becoming one of my alter egos" only I couldn't find it anywhere, and since I couldn't post to ask where that thread is to post (because that would waste my post) and no one comes into chat anymore, AND I didn't want to be stuck mute for the rest of my life, I'm glomming onto this thread.
